Hit-and-run victim's family appeals to public

 Yulia Potekhina was hit by a truck earlier this month in Midnapore, sustaining serious leg and head injuries. She remains in hospital in serious but stable condition. Calgary Police / Calgary Herald Calgary police and the family of Yulia Potekhina are scheduled to address media at 11 a.m. Thursday. The young woman was crossing in a crosswalk at the intersection of Bannister Road and Midlake Boulevard S.E. on Dec. 8 around 5:20 p.m. when police say a driver turning onto eastbound Midlake Boulevard struck her and sped away from the scene.  Police have been unable to locate the vehicle involved in the collision and are still looking for a dark-coloured truck, possibly a 2009 to 2015 Ford F150, pictured above.
