Crash on Highway 1 sends 2 children, 2 adults to hospital

Two adults and two children are in hospital following a crash on Highway 1.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. Sunday, EMS responded to a call of an accident involving an SUV. According to witnesses, the vehicle had lost control in the southbound exit lane from Highway 1 to Old Banff Coach Road.

Paramedics transported a woman in her mid-30s as well as a man in his mid-40s to Foothills Hospital, both in serious, but stable condition.

A four-year old boy and a seven-month old girl were taken to Alberta Children's Hospital, both in serious, but stable condition as well.

RCMP are investigating the cause of the collision, but alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
