Highway 797 now open, after being closed for several hours
The male driver of the car was declared dead at the scene, along with a female passenger in the SUV. (CBC) A 19-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman are dead after a car and an SUV collided near Langdon, east of Calgary. Stars and EMS were called to the scene at Highway 797 near Township Road 240 at 7:14 a.m. Saturday. The male driver of the car was declared dead at the scene, along with a female passenger in the SUV. Both victims are from Langdon.

(CBC) A man in his 50s and a woman in her 40s — who were also travelling in the SUV — were taken to hospital in Calgary in serious but stable condition. (Google Maps) Friday crashMeanwhile, the Calgary Fire Department had to cut a woman out of a car after a rollover Friday night at the intersection of Macleod Trail and Southland Drive.The vehicle crashed into a light standard around 8:30 p.m. and ended up on its roof, trapping the person inside.
