Junior JUNOS dish out big entertainment

Global News Listen CALGARY – JUNO fever continued in Calgary Saturday morning and there was plenty of entertainment for younger fans too. Kids and their parents were treated to the Junior JUNOS at the Central Library downtown. Nominees for Children’s Album of the Year put on a show that had appreciative fans dancing in the aisles. The entertainers included The Swinging Belles, Bobs and LoLo, Ginalina and Splash’N Boots. Splash’N Boots has a huge following from their daily shows on Treehouse. “It’s great to be back in Calgary. We’ve done the Calgary Stampede and the Children’s Festival here. It’s a wonderful city but just to be nominated, it’s the best. It’s so fun; we love it,” says Nick Adams of Splash’N Boots. He said it’s an honor being nominated for a JUNO for the third time. The secret to the duo’s popularity? Taes Adams says it’s all about the kids and doing what you love. “We started doing this because we love kids and it grew out of there. We both came from a performing background. It’s for the kids. I would never do adult stuff….ever!” she laughs. “It’s their honesty. I think you just never know what’s going to happen and that just makes your day every time we do a show,” said Adams.
