(Rob Short/CBC) A Calgary man is in custody in High River after leading RCMP on a wild chase through farmers' fields. Around 8 p.m. on April 1, RCMP received a call from a resident saying there was an unknown man standing in their front yard "holding a large machete near a white pickup truck," according to a press release. Police arrived and ordered the machete-wielding man out of the truck at gun point, at which time he drove into a field. The ensuing car chase lasted 20 minutes, during which time the stolen truck crashed through several farm fences, according to police. The truck then became stuck and the man fled on foot, but was promptly detained. The 30-year-old suspect faces a string of charges:
