The Stampeders' beloved, hoofed mascot got a warm reception from fans as it clip-clopped its way through a Winnipeg hotel lobby Friday afternoon. The Stamps have been trotting "Tuffy" through hotels for years on Grey Cup weekend, even in seasons where they don't make it to the big game. The horse was surrounded by dozens of camera people and media as it posed for a photo op at the Holiday Inn on the corner of Portage Avenue and Colony Street. The photo op was spoiled momentarily when Tuffy relieved himself in front of the crowd of onlookers. A carrot or two later, and Tuffy seemed to have forgotten the whole embarrassing ordeal. The Ottawa Redblacks and the Edmonton Eskimos will go head to head at Investors Group Field Sunday at 5 p.m. CST. |
