Codie McLachlan/Edmonton Sun A seasonal parking ban on priority routes will begin Monday at 7 a.m. Vehicles parked on designated parking ban routes will be subject to tagging and towing for the duration of the ban, the city said in a release Sunday. “With the snowfall over the weekend, we are focusing our efforts on arterial roads, bus routes and collector roads,” said roadway maintenance director Eduardo Sosa in the release. “Please find alternate parking if you park on a designated no seasonal parking area, so we can clear the roads quickly and efficiently.” The ban remains in effect until plowing is complete across the entire city. The city said crews are working around the clock to clear and sand roads and sidewalks. They do not expect to implement a neighbourhood blading cycle at this time. |
