The new play at the University of Calgary's School of Creative and Performing Arts. It debuted back in 2007 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and it's relevant to what's going on in the world today. The whole drama takes place inside a shipping container with five refugees stuck inside. They have just one goal — to get to England and start a new life. But none of them know if they trust the man they paid to get them there ... or if they trust each other ... or how far each will go to get what they want.

2. Music Collector's Show

Happening Sunday at the Acadia Recreation Complex, it's billed as Southern Alberta's "premier event for buying, selling and trading rare, vintage, collectable vinyl and music-memorabilia." Organizer Mark Corner says lots of the vendors don't mind appraising your collectables — if you're looking for an expert opinion on your own records.

3. The Floating Mouse puppet show

For some family-friendly fun, the Green Fools are wrapping-up their show 'The Floating Mouse' this weekend. It's a puppet show based on the 2013 flood in Calgary — which actually claimed the Green Fool's theatre and lots of their costumes, puppets, sets and more. Writer and director Jennie Esdale assures us the show is NOT a downer. It runs 50 minutes and is best for kids 4 and up.

4. Spooky Halloween fun

Telus Spark is hosting a Monster Mash-Up all weekend, inviting monsters of all ages to dress up and get down to the science centre. There'll be creepy crawlers, glow in the dark slime, pumpkin guts, face painting and more. The best part — you can learn the Thriller dance from Michael Jackson's iconic music video. If that's not your scene, check out the Crowfoot YMCA's 'Halloween Howler' Saturday from 4-5:30 p.m. for families with kids aged 2 to 12.

5. Halloween Howl
