 Edmonton city police homicide detectives are investigating after a teenager dropped off at the Royal Alexandra Hospital Wednesday night died of a gunshot wound. Friends dropped the 18-year-old man at the Royal Alexandra Hospital around 11 p.m. Wednesday, said police in a Thursday news release. The teen later died in hospital. The death is being treated as suspicious. An autopsy was scheduled for noon Thursday. Police were seen watching a Dodge Nitro outside the hospital Wednesday night. Anyone with information the death is asked to contact Edmonton police or Crime Stoppers. If the death is confirmed a homicide, it would be Edmonton's 22nd of the year. jwakefield@postmedia.com |
